If you go back and read Taking Risks, you'll remember that I was stepping out and proposing an idea that might or might not work. It's something we've never done before.
If you go and read The Amazing Diaper Race, you can read the idea that I had and laid out there.
We needed to have at least four teams in order to make it work.
Well, I'm happy to report that we are very quickly coming close to reaching 15 to 20% of both the goal in terms of the number of boxes and also the financial donations it is going to take to ship the artificial turf and the diapers down to Haiti.
But we didn't get four teams who wanted to do the Amazing Diaper Race.
So we're going to try a plan B. Rather than having teams, here's what we're going to do.......
- Every Saturday, I'm going to post an "Idea of the Week." It's going to be something simple and relatively easy - even for introverts - to do that will help us reach our goal of 500 boxes of diapers (and $12,000 in shipping fees) by March 30.
- Every Thursday, I'm going to post a "reminder" about what the idea was and ask those who are willing, to share their stories of what they did, how it worked and such so I can share those with the rest of the blog readers.
I'll also keep a running total for you of how we are doing in reaching our two totals.
Watch for the first post tomorrow.
