Sponsor the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

"Sponsor the NICU" is designed to give GLA a guaranteed monthly income which enables us to supply free medical care for those who do not have the means to pay.  Most of our children coming in for assistance are children needing to stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care.  They need IV therapy, oxygen, special medication, and other life-saving therapy.  They need the generator on night and day so we can run the oxygen machines and incubators.  The cost of their stay is very high.  Once the babies are well, most return to their birth families.

Sponsoring a NICU bed is a great way for organizations and individuals who wish to contribute to healthcare in Haiti. Sponsoring a bed pays for all those things that are essential to providing good quality care –IV Fluids and tubing, medications, oxygen supplies, dressings, emergency supplies, CPAP breathing equipment and much more.

Sponsors have the privilege of following with a detailed story of the monthly happenings in the NICU. If you sponsor the NICU, you will receive monthly updates that will include a current photo and a little story about what's been happening in the NICU.

A neonatal intensive-care unit(NICU), also known as an intensive care nursery(ICN), is an intensive-care unit specializing in the care of ill or premature newborn infants.

There are 4 levels of sponsorship:

Bronze:  $35 per month (will cover one child for 3 1/2  days in the NICU)

Silver:  $50 per month  (will cover one child 5 days in the NICU)

Gold:  $100 per month (will cover one child 10 days in the NICU)

Platinum: $300 per month (will cover 1 child for a whole month in the NICU)

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at GLA is what stands between life and death for many of these babies.  Help us offer parents a chance to see their tiny baby live and thrive even when born too little and too early.

You can make a difference by becoming a sponsor of the NICU at GLA today!
